Linking the rural community to Services on one site!
This Project (website) has been supported by the Toowoomba Regional Council
This page is for the times that your child is not at an early learning centre and they just want to have fun. It is not to be used solely for the purpose of providing educational early childhood learning to your child. RCSS recommends the following childcare and early education centres. If you are struggling to take your child due to the geographical distance, please seek help for a volunteer transport through the RCSS.
Additional to your ongoing early learning education at the following centres, the RCSS will be providing through membership and insurance of the Playgroup QLD play dates. Please press on the below link for your expression of interest.
Early education can play a critical role during this important developmental period. Research linking early intervention to both cognitive and socio-emotional gains has fuelled the proliferation of early childhood programs since the early part of the twentieth century.

Development Milestones
The Australian Government early years learning framework describes development milestones, "A sound understanding of developmental milestones will support you to effectively assess children’s play and learning. Intentional teaching, planning and evaluation should be based on sound professional knowledge. Links to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) outcomes and the National Quality Standards are given as examples".
The Australian Government's Early Years Learning Framework Practice Based Resources - Developmental Milestones provides guidance through a range of milestones. All children are unique however, and the milestones should be considered guidelines. Parents shouldn't be concerned unless their child displays one of the criteria under which it is recommended that they seek advice.
